Florida will try to snap a three-game losing streak when it travels to Georgia for an SEC battle on Tuesday night between two of the league’s bottom feeders. The Gators are trying to get back to the .500 mark overall this season and within one game of the break-even mark in conference play. Georgia, which lost to Florida by seven points last month, has lost three straight games and is coming off a blowout loss to Missouri.
Florida is trying to avoid a four-game losing streak and generate some momentum heading into the SEC Tournament. The Gators won five games in a six-game stretch early in league play, beating Georgia by seven points during that stretch. They also picked up an upset win over then-No. 2 Tennessee on Feb. 1, but they have been in a losing rut since then. Florida has lost six of its last seven games, with its lone win coming against Ole Miss by 15 points two weeks ago. The Gators have lost to Arkansas, Kentucky and Vanderbilt in their three games since then, falling to the Commodores by 16 points on Saturday.

They have been without star forward Colin Castleton (hand) since the win over Ole Miss, as he has team-highs with 16.0 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game. The Gators trailed Vanderbilt by 10 points at halftime and did not get closer than nine points the rest of the way. Riley Kugel had 20 points and Kyle Lofton added 15 against the Commodores. Florida has been struggling to generate offense throughout the season, ranked No. 241 in effective field goal percentage (49.4). The Gators are shooting less than 32% from 3-point range, ranked No. 291 nationally. They have relied on their low turnover rate to maximize their possessions—they are facing a Georgia defense that is No. 133 in adjusted efficiency.
