Baylor -1 (-110) over Oklahoma State
While Oklahoma State has lost their last four games, including two at home, Baylor is'coming off of a significant victory at home against their rival Texas on Saturday. These two teams appear to be headed in opposite directions at the moment, and that creates value with this short spread. A big reason that this spread is so small is because the Bears will be without Keyonte George, who is the team’s leading scorer and one of best freshman players in the country. And while losing George is a tough blow, the depth of Baylor will prevail. The Bears are one of the deepest and most talented teams in the nation and have several players that can step up in George’s absence. Although they may not be as elite at creating shot opportunities or running the floor, they are more than capable of standing in for George until he returns. It seems the oddsmakers have really taken the George injury into consideration when creating this line because I expected it to be closer to 4 po ints or more, but since I don’t see his replacement as a massive step down, I believe that Baylor is being undervalued.
