Texas A&M vs. Mississippi St Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 2-25-2023

The Mississippi State Bulldogs (18-10) will host the Texas A&M Aggies (21-7) on Saturday in a SEC showdown. Both of these teams are currently in position to reach the NCAA Tournament this season, but neither team should feel too comfortable about where they are.

Texas A&M is on a six-game winning streak after beating Tennessee 68-63 on Tuesday. The Aggies are 13-2 in the SEC, good for second place, one game behind Alabama, and three games ahead of Kentucky. As strong as the season has been, the Aggies are still fighting for respect. ESPN's Joe Lunardi currently has A&M as a No. 6 seed in the NCAA Tournament if the season ended today, but many Texas A&M fans have to believe this team has top-4 seed potential.

Texas A&M is No. 24 in the KenPom ratings, 23rd in adjusted offensive efficiency, and 45th on defense. Wade Taylor IV, a 6' sophomore, leads the team with 15.9 ppg and is putting up 21.8 ppg over the last five.

The Aggies are 19-9 against the spread this season and have faced the 77th strongest schedule according to KenPom.
