Coastal Carolina will wrap up a disappointing end to the regular season when it travels to Troy on Friday night for a Sun Belt tilt. The Chanticleers have lost nine of their last 10 games and are coming off a 76-68 setback at Georgia Southern. Troy has been trending in the opposite direction, having won five of its last six games.
Coastal Carolina got off to a competitive start to the season, winning 10 of its first 19 games. The Chanticleers have lost nine of their 10 games since then, though, which started with a seven-game losing streak. Their lone win during that stretch came in a 77-68 final against Georgia State last Thursday, but they have dropped a pair of single-digit losses against Texas State and Georgia Southern since then. They were unable to cover the spread in either of those setbacks, falling to the Eagles by eight points as 7-point underdogs. Coastal Carolina is locked into the No. 12 seed in the Sun Belt Tournament.

The Chanticleers have been struggling on both ends of the court, with their offensive issues coming with their shooting percentages. They are knocking down just 30.8% of their 3-pointers and are knocking down 48.1% of their 2-pointers, ranked No. 312 in effective field goal percentage overall. Their strength has been their low turnover rate and high offensive rebounding percentage. Coastal Carolina is facing a Troy defense that is No. 80 in field goal percentage and No. 46 in turnover rate. Sophomore guard Josh Uduje leads Coastal Carolina with 13.6 points and 3.8 rebounds per game, while junior center Essam Mostafa is adding 12.4 points and 9.9 rebounds. However, Mostafa has not played in two weeks due to an undisclosed injury and is questionable for this game.
