Delaware (14-15 SU, 12-15-1 ATS, 6-10 CAA) meets up with North Carolina A&T (12-17 SU, 12-14 ATS, 7-9 CAA) on the road in a CAA battle on Thursday night at 7pmET from the Corbett Sports Center.
This is the first matchup between these teams in the CAA.
Delaware won the CAA Tournament last season, but this year, they will need to win four games in four days to achieve that feat. Every now and they snag a solid win as they did last Saturday, beating UNCW 75-66 at home as a 1.5-point favorite. But they've been a disaster on the road, going 2-10 this season. Before beating the Seahawks, they were crushed at Towson 95-72. At this point, they can finish in sixth place if they win their last two games and get some help. In their win over UNCW, senior guard Jameer Nelson Jr. went off for a career-high 39 points on 13-of-21 shooting. The Hens shot 52% from the field and 48% (10-of-21) from beyond the arc.

Nelson Jr. (20ppg, 3.6apg) is a star like his father who can carry a team when he gets hot. The key is getting help from Jyare Davis (15.9ppg, 5.3rpg) and Christian Ray (10ppg, 8.7rpg). Another key is on the defensive end, where Delaware is allowing teams to shoot 44.8% from the field (10th) and 37.3% (last in the CAA) from long range. Offensively, they also struggle shooting the three (32.3%) so teams can pack it in and play zone against them. The biggest issue is on boards where they rank 10th in the CAA in rebounding margin (-3.17).
