The NBA returns from the all-star break with a full slate of games on Thursday, including the Orlando Magic hosting the Detroit Pistons. The magic come in with a record of 24-35 while the Pistons are 15-44, last in the Eastern Conference. Detroit has beaten the Magic twice already this season, both times at home, and has win 3 straight over Orlando overall. Tipoff is at 7:00 p.m. EST from the Amway Center in Orlando.
The Pistons come into the home stretch knowing they are going to finish as one of the worst teams in the NBA. They currently own the worst record in the Eastern Conference at 15-44, and they are 1.5 games behind Charlotte (17-43). Only Houston (13-45) and San Antonio (14-45) in the Western Conference have worst records.

I fully expect the Pistons to start playing their young guys a lot, to try and develop something for next season. It is a good idea to build a winning culture, because at this point, you are still guaranteed a top 3 or 4 pick — and you could even get No. 1 if the ball bounces your way. One of those young promising players, Jalen Duran, is questionable for Thursday's game. But the word is they are looking to sign RJ Hampton, who Orlando recently cut.
