New Mexico Lobos (20-7) vs. Boise State Broncos (21-6)

Week 16 of the 2022-23 NCAA men’s basketball season continues Wednesday, February 22, with the New Mexico Lobos taking on the Boise State Broncos in the Mountain West Conference battle from ExtraMile Arena in Boise, Idaho.

The Lobos outlasted the Broncos 81-79 in overtime in their first meeting of the season on January 20. New Mexico failed to cover a 2.5-point spread at home, and the game went over a 147.0-point line. The Broncos are 5.5-point home favorites this time around, while the totals sit at 146.0 points.

The New Mexico Lobos (20-7; 13-12-1 ATS; 7-7 conf.) broke out of their funk last Friday. After losing four consecutive games against Utah State 84-73, Nevada 77-76, Air Force 89-77, and Wyoming 70-56, the Lobos dismantled San Jose State 96-68 as 1.5-point road underdogs.

New Mexico tortured SJSU’s leaky defense, finishing with a 60.7 field goal percentage. The Lobos also went 21-for-26 from the foul line and posted an excellent 15/6 assist-to-turnover ratio. Senior guard Jaelen House had seven points, five assists, and five steals in his return from a two-game absence caused by a hamstring injury, junior guard Jamal Mashburn had 27 points on 9-for-11 shooting from the field, while senior center Morris Udeze notched 31 points, 12 rebounds, and a couple of blocks.
