Temple and Cincinnati will compete for fourth place in the American Athletic Conference standings when they square off on Wednesday night. The Owls snapped their four-game losing streak with a 76-53 win over Tulsa on Sunday. Cincinnati has won two of its last three games, beating UCF its last time out.

Temple got off to a slow start in non-conference play, losing seven of its first 13 games. The Owls were able to bounce back to open AAC play, winning eight of their first 10 games against conference foes. They beat then-No. 1 Houston before taking down USF and UCF in back-to-back overtime outings. Temple went ice cold after that, losing to Houston, SMU, Memphis and Wichita State in four straight outings. The Owls finally got back on track over the weekend, beating Tulsa in a 76-53 blowout on Sunday. They easily covered the 11.5-point spread, which was the first time that they covered since beating UCF on Jan. 28.

The Owls are tied with Cincinnati for fourth place in the AAC standings, sitting two games back of Memphis for third place with three games remaining. They have struggled to overcome turnover issues this season, ranked No. 300 in turnover rate. Temple is outside the top 200 in effective field goal percentage (50.1) and is No. 187 in offensive rebounding percentage. It will be facing a Cincinnati defense that is No. 59 in effective field goal percentage. Sophomore guard Khalif Battle leads Temple with 17.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per game, while sophomore guard Damian Dunn is adding 14.6 points and 3.1 assists.
