The struggling LSU Tigers host the Vanderbilt Commodores Wednesday in SEC action. LSU is 12-15 overall and 1 -13 in the SEC while Vanderbilt is 15-12 overall and 8-6 in the SEC. Vanderbilt beat LSU last season 75-66. Tipoff is at 7:00 p.m. EST at the Maravich Center in Baton Rouge.

The Vanderbilt Commodores are closing out the regular season on a roll as they have won 5 straight games and are 15-12 overall and 8-6 in the SEC. They are tied for 5th in the SEC and an NCAA Tournament berth is not out of the question. They currently sit 87th in the KenPom rankings but they have four winnable games left in the regular season.

The Commodores are coming off a 67-65 win at home over Auburn on Saturday as a three point underdog. It was a thrilling win, as Ezra Manjon made a layup with less than a second to give Vanderbilt the win. “It's not like we were down, but we have been down before and came back and made the big plays,” Vanderbilt coach Jerry Stackhouse said, reported the Tennessean. “Tonight was probably a little less pressure because worst-case scenario we go to overtime … At the end of the day we made the plays.”
