The 2022-23 NHL season goes on with a nine-game Tuesday card and brings this Interconference clash from the Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta when the Philadelphia Flyers travel to take on the Edmonton Oilers at 9:00 p.m. ET.
This is the second meeting between the teams this season. The Flyers defeated the Oilers in a shootout in Philadelphia on February 9. Philadelphia was the underdog at +165 with the total set at 7.0. Edmonton enters as the favorite at -295 and still remains the favorite when giving up 1.5 goals (-125). The total is set at 7.0.
The Philadelphia Flyers lost to the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday, going winless in their last four contests (0-3-1). Philadelphia takes on Calgary on Monday, but this preview was written prior to the conclusion of that contest. The game against Edmonton is the final of a four-game road trip that has seen the team drop the first two contests by identical 6-2 scores. Philadelphia is 11-11-7 on the road this season.
The score was tied with Vancouver heading in the second period, but the Canucks scored two goals in the frame and added three more in the third, including adding two shorthanded tallies. Morgan Frost added a power-play goal as the Flyers went 1-2 with the man advantage. They are 31st in the NHL on the power-play at (16.3%) and 27th in scoring (2.67).

Carter Hart (16-17-9, 2.88, .910) had a tough game between the pipes for the Flyers, giving up four goals on 21 shots. He will likely go on Tuesday. Hart has given up four goals in each of his last two starts. This came after he had given up five total goals in his previous four appearances. The Flyers are 18th in goals-against average (3.19) and 21st in penalty killing (76.2%).
