Two tournament bound teams from the Big East meet Tuesday as the 18th 18th ranked Creighton Bluejays host the 11th ranked Marquette Golden Eagles. Creighton is 18-9 overall and 12-4 in the Big East while Marquette is 21-6 overall and 13-3 in the conference. Marquette beat Creighton at home back in December 69-58 as a 4 point favorite. Can Creighton return the favor?

After getting pounded by UConn on February 7, Marquette has bounded back with two wins to take the lead in the tight Big East regular season. They are 21-6 overall and 13-3 in the conference, one game up on Xavier, Creighton, and Providence. They are coming off a huge 69-68 win over Xavier in their last game last Wednesday.

Marquette won this game in the waning seconds as Olivier-Maxence Prosper scored on a put back with 1.6 seconds left to give Marquette the win. It capped off the come-from-behind win for the Golden Eagles. Marquette only shot 38% while Xavier shot 53% but they still managed to win by turning over Xavier 17 times and grabbing 14 offensive rebounds, which led to 16 more shots from the floor. Stevie Mitchell led the way with 17 points while Tyler Kolek added 15 points.
