The New York Rangers face the Edmonton Oilers with both teams looking to improve on their great seasons. The Rangers have a 32-14-8 record and with six wins in a row have leaped into third place in the Metropolitan Division. The Oilers have a 30-19-6 record and are near the top of the Pacific Division. Both teams look to remain near the top of their divisions and the upcoming game should be a great one as a result.

The Rangers are having a great season with their offense stepping up and scoring 3.37 goals per game with 22 goals in the last five games. Adam Fox and Ryan Lindgren have combined for 8.5 defensive point shares and 159 blocked shots while K'Andre Miller, Braden Schneider, and Jacob Trouba have combined for 7.8 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit. In addition, goaltender Igor Shesterkin is having a great season with a .915 save percentage and a 2.52 goals-against average on 1164 shots with 10.6 goals saved above average.
