The New Jersey Devils face the St. Louis Blues with both teams looking to build off recent hot streaks. The Devils have a 35-13-5 record and with seven wins in their last 10 games, boast the second-best record in the Metropolitan Division. The Blues have a 25-25-3 record which is one of the worst in the Central Division but they have won back-to-back games. Both teams look to continue to improve within their divisions and the upcoming game looks to be a great one as a result.

The Devils are having a great season with their offense stepping up and scoring 3.45 goals per game with 13 goals in the last four games. Jesper Bratt, Nico Hischier, and Tomas Tatar have scored 54 goals and 76 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has also been great. Dawson Mercer, Yegor Sharangovich, and Erik Haula have combined for 27 goals and 48 assists while defensemen Dougie Hamilton and Ryan Graves have added 21 goals and 49 assists from the point to open up the offense.

The offense has been great but the defense has also stepped up, allowing only 2.62 goals per game with only six goals in the last three games. Ryan Graves and Jonas Seigenthaler have combined for 7.8 defensive point shares and 187 blocked shots while Dougie Hamilton, John Marino, and Damon Severson have combined for 8.2 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit. In addition, goaltender Vit ek Vanecek has been great with a .916 save percentage and a 2.31 goals-against average on 898 shots with 9.5 goals saved above average.
