Josh Morrissey and Dylan DeMelo have combined for 7.0 defensive point shares and 138 blocked shots while Brenden Dillon, Neal Pionk, and Nate Schmidt have combined for 8.6 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit. Additionally, goaltender Connor Hellebuyck has been great with a .924 save percentage and a 2.41 goals-against average on 1293 shots with 23.7 goals saved above average.
