Los Angeles Clippers vs. Phoenix Suns Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 2-16-2023

In the final game before the all-star break, the red hot Phoenix Suns host division rival, the LA Clippers in a marquee Thursday night matchup. The Suns are 32-27 while the Clippers are right behind them at 32-28. The Suns won both previous meetings this season, in December and October, covering both times at LA. Tipoff for this one is at 10:00 p.m. EST at the Footprint Center in Phoenix.

The big question mark for the Clippers the last few seasons is can Kawhi Leonard and Paul George stay on the floor at the same time? So far that phenomenon has been few and far between, as both have spent time on the shelf. But lets be honest — Leonard has been out far more than George has. I don't even know if there is a window any more for the Clippers even with those two healthy, but they are still a formidable duo.

The Clippers come into this game with a record of 32-28. They are fifth in the Western Conference, 9 games behind the first place Nuggets. Leonard started off slow this season, and took his time getting his legs under him after missing so much time, but now he is starting to look like the Kawhi Leonard that was the best all around plyer in the league before he got injured. In a 134-124 win over the Warriors on Tuesday, Leonard had 33 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. He has boosted his average up to 22.3 points per game.
