The Louisville Cardinals will host the Virginia Cavaliers for an ACC matchup from the KFC Yum! Center on ESPNU. Virginia leads the head-to-head series, 19-4, after winning nine of the last ten meetings.
Virginia improved to 19-4 after sneaking by Duke in Charlottesville. The Cavaliers were beneficiaries of a terrible missed call, and they capitalized in overtime with a seven-point win, 69-62. UVA is scoring 70.0 points per game, while allowing 59.1 ppg, shooting 45.9% from the floor.
Virginia has won nine of their last nine games, and they find themselves tied atop the conference standings with Pitt. The Cavaliers are 11-3 in ACC play, with a 5-3 road record. Fifth-year starter Kihei Clark scored 16 points in the “win” over Duke, and he’s posting career-highs in scoring (11.6) and assists (5.9) this season. Fellow senior guard Armaan Franklin leads UVAin scoring (12.7) after a 23-point performance last time out. Veteran forward Jayden Gardner has scored 18 points or more in four of the last five games, and he’s up to 11.3 ppg and 5.0 rpg.
