UC Davis beat CSU Northridge 62-54 on Jan. 11. Neither team shot the ball particularly well, but the Aggies did control the glass, outrebounding the Matadors 42-24, collecting 20 offensive rebounds. UC Davis leads the series 23-15.
Cal State Northridge is enduring a challenging season, with six straight-up victories in 25 games. The Matadors have won two of their past three, however, and still have six more remaining to end the season on a high note.
CSU Northridge beat Cal Poly by 12 at home over the weekend, storming back from an eight-point halftime deficit. The Matadors outscored the Mustangs 44-25 after the break. Cal Poly shot under 39 percent overall and just 30 percent from long range. Sophomore guard Atin Wright led all scorers with 22 points.
