The Buffalo Sabres face the Anaheim Ducks with both teams looking to improve from rocky seasons. The Sabres have a 26-22-4 record but with three losses in a row have fallen to the middle of the Atlantic Division. The Ducks have a 17-31-6 record and with back-to-back losses have fallen to last place in the Pacific Division. Both teams look to improve in their divisions and the upcoming game should be a good one as a result.

The Sabres are having a promising season with their offense stepping up and scoring 3.63 goals per game. Tage Thompson, Alex Tuch, and Jeff Skinner have scored 79 goals and 95 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has also been great. Dahlin and Power have combined for 6.0 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net at will. Additionally, goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen has struggled with a .896 save percentage and a 3.43 goals-against average on 731 shots wit h -7.0 goals saved above average.
