Zach Plesac ostensibly seems like a nice guy. Unfortunately, he's a subpar starter at best. 1.41 WHIP and 4.44 ERA is not ideal and the win-loss record does mean more to these pitchers than it should. Meanwhile Kopech has been excellent, with 23 Ks over 23 innings pitched and a 1.17 ERA.
He hasn't needed to stretch into the later innings either because the White Sox have an elite bullpen to finis h the game. Cleveland has been hitting recently so this will be a challenge, but the numbers line up well for the Sox tonight.
