The Orlando Magic have committed to a youth movement this season and that was no more evident than the team's recent decision to buy out veteran shooting guard Terrance Ross. The Magic did add veteran point guard Patrick Beverley as part of a 4-team trade that sent C Mo Bamba packing. Beverley is expected to be bought out as well. The youthful Magic battled the Heat on Saturday night but coughed up a 17-point lead before falling in overtime, 107-103. The Magic were led by Markelle Fultz, who had 17 points in the loss. Rookie of the Year candidate Paolo Banchero added 16 points an 13 rebounds but missed a chance to win the game in regulation after his layup was offline.

“They're a team with a lot of experience and they’ve been in these situations a ton of times,” Magic coach Jamahl Mosley said in regards to the Heat.

Orlando has had difficulty putting up points this season. The Magic are just 21st in the NBA in three point shooting and 22nd in fewest turnovers per game. On the defensive side of the ball, Orlando is 17th in the league in scoring defense. The Magic do have the 7th ranked 3pt defense in the NBA. On the glass, they are seventh in the NBA in total rebounding.
