The Philadelphia 76ers pay a visit to the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center on Saturday.
The Philadelphia 76ers have been in strong form as they’ve reeled off 10 wins in their past 13 games and they will be looking to stay hot after blowing past the Knicks in a 119-108 home win last night. Joel Embiid led the team with 35 points, 11 rebounds and six assists, James Harden tallied 20 points with eight rebounds and 12 assists while Tyrese Maxey provided the spark off the bench with 27 points on nine of 16 shooting. As a team, the 76ers shot 51 percent from the field and 14 of 39 from the 3-point line as they struggled to contain the Knicks in the first half and fell behind by 13 points, but they stayed within striking distance and finally made their move in the fourth quarter where they held the Knicks to just 15 points to win comfortably in the end.
Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets have been in decent shape as they’ve won four of their last seven games overall and they will be looking to maintain that momentum after taking down the Bulls in a 116-105 win on Thursday. Spencer Dinwiddie led the team with 25 points, six rebounds and four assists, Cam Thomas added 20 points while Joe Harris chipped in with 18 points on six of nine shooting off the bench. As a team, the Nets shot just 42 percent from the field and 17 of 44 from the 3-point line as they poured in 34 points in the second quarter to erase an early 13-point deficit, before they exploded for 37 points in the fourth quarter to steal the win and improve to 17-10 at home this season.
