The Creighton Bluejays (15-8, 11-12 ATS, 9-13 O/U) meet with the Seton Hall Pirates (15-9, 13-10 ATS, 9-13 O/U) in a Big East showdown on Wednesday night. The Bluejays earned a home win against Villanova on Saturday. The Pirates clobbered DePaul on Sunday. Creighton posted an 83-61 home win against Seton Hall in the first meeting.

The Creighton Bluejays are one of the hottest squads in the Big East. They have won six games in a row fueled by the defense. Creighton has not lost a game since January 11th. They have defeated Providence and Xavier in the winning streak, and most recently, were marked 9.5-point favorites in a 66-61 home win against Villanova on Saturday. The Bluejays are 9-3 in Big East play and have covered the spread in one out of their last three conference road games.

Ryan Kalkbrenner continues to dazzle. The junior center has connected on 60% of his field goals in six out of his last eight games after scoring 16 points last time out. Kalkbrenner is sporting an average of 15.2 PPG and 6.9 RPG. Trey Alexander is also producing, collecting at least 13 points in two of his last three games, and is excellent from three-point range. The sophomore guard is averaging 13.5 PPG on the season and is shooting 40% from b eyond the arc. Baylor Scheierman has three double-doubles in Big East play. The senior guard is posting an average of 13 PPG.

The Bluejays are ranked 13th in DI in Ken Pomeroy’s ratings and climbed into the #23 spot in this week’s AP Top 25. Creighton is only 2-4 on the road this season including victories against Butler and Georgetown. Creighton is averaging 76.8 points, ranking them 65th. They are conceding an average of 67.3 points, positioning them 113th.
