The Eastern Michigan Eagles are on the road as they make the trip to face the Buffalo Bulls Tuesday night. Eastern Michigan battled but fell 91-90 in overtime on the road to Ball State Friday night in their previous contest, though they did cover the line as a 10.5-point underdog. Buffalo went on the road Saturday and downed Western Michigan 85-76 in their last game, covering the line as a four-point favorite. In the all-time series between the schools, the Bulls own a 20-10 advantage and have won eight of the last nine meetings, including the last three. The most recent matchup between the schools went to Buffalo as they took an 83-69 road win on February 17, 2022.

Eastern Michigan went right to the wire against Ball State on the road only to fall a point short in overtime, snapping their two-game win streak in the process. The Eagles fell to 6-17 overall and enter this game tied for ninth in the conference with a 3-7 mark on the year. Against Ball State, Eastern Michigan trailed 6-0 out of the gate and by as many as 10 in the first half before rallying to lead 40-37 at intermission. The Eagles led by as many as six and trailed by as many as five in the second half only to end regulation even at 78. During overtime, Eastern Michigan led 87-84 with 1:44 to play after an Emoni Bates three-pointer but gave up seven straight points to trail by four, rendering a buzzer-beating three by Tyson Acuff meaningless except for the final margin. Eastern Michigan shot 51.5% from the field, including 10 of 20 from three-point range, but allowed Ball State to shoot 53.2% in the game. Bates led the Eagles with 35 poin ts in the loss.
