Phoenix Suns vs. Brooklyn Nets Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 2-7-2023

The new look Brooklyn Nets host the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night. The Nets, in case you haven't heard, made some major changes to their roster over the weekend, shipping out Kyrie Irving, while the Suns try to keep the momentum going on this so far successful East Coast road trip. The Suns beat the Nets 117-112 back on January 19th in Phoenix. Tipoff is at 7:30 p.m. EST at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.

It has been a trying season for the Suns, but they are starting to gain some momentum. They set out on a brutal East Coast road trip last week and won their first two games, knocking off the Celtics on Friday and beating the Pistons on Saturday. They improved their record to 29-26 and they sit 5th in the Western Conference, just 8.5 games behind the first place Nuggets. And the good news is they are due to get back their star, Devin Booker, very soon.

Now, it should also be noted that the trade deadline is coming up this Thursday and the Suns were rumored to be in the Kyrie Irving sweepstakes. So they may be active this week with other deals and don't be shocked if they pull the trigger on a deal that shakes up the roster. But for now, we'll assume the team that took the floor in a 116-100 win over the Pistons Saturday night is the same one that will take the floor Tuesday. In that game, Deandre Ayton came to play with 31 points and 16 rebounds, while Mikal Bridges added 24 points. The Suns rank 22nd in points per game and 5th in points allowed.
