Miami at Clemson Prediction – Basketball Picks 2/4/23

The Clemson Tigers will host the Miami Hurricanes in ACC play from the Littlejohn Coliseum. Clemson leads the head-to-head series, 17-15, but Miami has won the last two meetings.

Miami improved to 17-5 after losing to Pitt on the road. The Hurricanes couldn’t hold on to a slim halftime lead, and lost to the Panthers by three points. Miami scores 77.7 points per game, while allowing 69.5 ppg, and shooting 47.8% from the field.

Miami has traded their last nine games, and they’ll look to buck that trend here. Each of the Canes last four losses in January came on the road by six points or less, with a pair of those being by just two points, so they’ve been very close. The Canes are 8-4 in ACC play, with a 4-4 road record. Isaiah Wong leads the charge for a third season in a row for Jim Larranaga’s squad. The junior guard scored 25 points against N.C. State, and he’s leading the Canes in scoring (16.3) and assists (3.5), while grabbing 4.5 rpg. Former GMU guard Jordan Miller has complimented him well, and he’s averaging 15.1 ppg and 5.6 rpg through 22 games. Norchad Omier has been a menace on the glass, and after posting four double-doubles in the last five games, he’s leading the team in rebounding (10.3), while scoring 13.9 ppg. Former KState guard Nijel Pack has hit four or more treys in four of the last six games, and he’s scoring 12.2 ppg.
