St. John's at Xavier – 2/4/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The St. John’s Red Storm will head down to Cincinnati to face the Xavier Musketeers in Big East play from the Cintas Center on FOX. Xavier leads the all-time series, 15-6, after winning the first matchup back in late December.  

St. John’s dropped to 14-9 after losing to Seton Hall at home. The Red Storm blew a small halftime lead, and let the Pirates walk away with a 12-point victory. St. John’s scores 77.3 points per game, while allowing 73.6 ppg, and shooting 45.6% from the floor. 

St. John’s opened February with the home loss to Seton Hall, and they come into another uphill battle here in Cincy. The Red Storm are 4-8 in Big East play, with a 1-5 road record. SJU is led by veteran big Joel Soriano in the middle. The Yonkers product has done his part, posting seven double-doubles in the last ten games, and he leads SJU in scoring (16.2) and rebounding (12.1). DePaul transfer David Jones double-doubled against Xavier, and he’s second on the team with 12.7 ppg and 6.5 rpg
