Clippers at Knicks Prediction – NBA Picks 2/4/23

The Los Angeles Clippers pay a visit to the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night.

The Los Angeles Clippers have been in fine form as they’ve won six of their last eight games overall and they will be hoping to bounce back here after falling painfully short to the Bucks in a 106-105 road loss on Thursday. Norman Powell led the team in scoring with 26 points on nine of 16 shooting off the bench, Kawhi Leonard added 17 points with 11 rebounds and five assists while Marcus Morris and Paul George each scored 16 points. As a team, the Clippers shot just 41 percent from the field and 13 of 36 from the 3-point line as they dominated early and held the Bucks to just 15 points in the first quarter to lead by as many as 21 points, but they never put the Bucks away and went scoreless in the final 3:51 to allow the Bucks to snatch the game from them in the end.

Meanwhile, the New York Knicks have been in a rut as they’ve lost six of their last nine games overall, but they will be eager to build some momentum after outlasting the Heat in a 106-104 win on Thursday. RJ Barrett led the team with 30 points, eight rebounds and four assists on 13 of 23 shooting, Julius Randle added 23 points with 10 rebounds and six assists while Quentin Grimes chipped in with 17 points on six of nine shooting. As a team, the Knicks shot 48 percent from the field and 12 of 36 from the 3-point line as they got off to a quick start and held an early 14-point lead which proved to be just enough in the end as the Heat cut the lead to just two points before the clock ran out.
