The Phoenix Suns and the Detroit Pistons duke it out at Little Caesars Arena on Saturday night.
The Phoenix Suns have been in great shape as they’ve won seven of their last nine games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after routing the Celtics in an impressive 106-94 road win last night. Mikal Bridges led the team with 25 points, Chris Paul added 15 points with eight assists while Dario Saric and DeAndre Ayton each scored 14 points. As a team, the Suns shot 43 percent from the field and 12 of 32 from the 3-point line, but this win was more about their defense as they held the Celtics to just 44 points in the first half to take the early lead, before they exploded for 32 points in the fourth quarter to make it a blowout in the end.
Meanwhile, the Detroit Pistons have been in rough shape as they’ve lost six of their last eight games, but they will be looking to build some momentum after taking down the Hornets in a 118-112 home win last night. Jaden Ivey led the team with 24 points and seven assists, Saddiq Bey added 22 points off the bench while Bojan Bogdanovic chipped in with 21 points on eight of 14 shooting. As a team, the Pistons shot 51 percent from the field and 14 of 32 from the 3-point line as they went back and forth with the Hornets in a tight contest, until the fourth quarter where they held the Hornets to just 18 points to escape with the narrow win.
