The Drake Bulldogs (18-6, 8-14-1 ATS) will be taking on the Valparaiso Beacons (10-14, 9-14 ATS) and will face off inside of the Athletics-Recreation Arena on Saturday evening in a Missouri Valley Conference matchup. These programs are on completely opposite sides of the standings so this will be a great chance to improve. 

The Drake Bulldogs were able to win at home as they picked up an 88-81 double-overtime home win against the Northern Iowa Panthers. The Bulldogs had an average game offensively last time out as they were able to score 88 points on 31-of-75 (41.3 percent) from the floor and 7-of-29 (24.1 percent) from beyond the arc. They passed the ball well though as they had 11 assists on 31 made field goal attempts. Senior guard Roman Penn finished the game with 42 minutes played and had 28 points, four rebounds, and six assists.

Their defense struggled after allowing 33 points in the first half to the Panthers. Northern Iowa did very well offensively as they were able to connect on 44.1 percent from the floor and 38.7 percent from the three-point line. Drake struggled as they only were able to force 10 turnovers with six steals and two blocks throughout the game.
