Air Force Falcons (12-11) vs. Nevada Wolf Pack (17-6)
The 2022-23 college hoops season continues Friday, February 3, with the Air Force Falcons facing off against the Nevada Wolf Pack in the Mountain West Conference battle at Lawlor Events Center in Reno, Nevada.
The Falcons and Wolf Pack meet for the second time this season, and Nevada aims for its third straight victory over Air Force. Back on New Year’s Eve, the Wolf Pack beat the Falcons 75-69 as 3.5-point road favorites with a total of 131.5 points. Nevada opens as an 11.5-point home fave this time around, while the totals sit at 133.0 points.
The Air Force Falcons (12-11; 15-8 ATS; 3-7 conf.) had a three-game winning streak in January, outlasting Colorado State 85-74 in overtime, Fresno State 51-48, and Wyoming 82-74 in the process. Since that eight-point victory over the injury-depleted Cowboys, Air Force has dropped four straight contests, recording a couple of road losses at San Jose State 82-52 and No. 25 New Mexico 81-73 to go with a pair of home defeats against San Diego State 70-60 and Boise State 59-52.
Last Tuesday, the Falcons covered an 8-point spread in a tough home matchup against the Boise State Broncos. Air Force rallied from a 13-point halftime deficit to make it a one-point game with 3:42 left on the clock, but the Broncos were lethal down the stretch. The Falcons finished with a 39.2 field-goal percentage, making just four of their 24 shots from beyond the 3-point line.

Freshman guard Rytis Petraitis notched 20 points against Boise State, while sophomore guard Jake Heidbreder had nine points and four rebounds. This duo is tallying 24.2 points and 9.0 rebounds a night in 2022-23. The Falcons are scoring 105.5 points per 100 possessions (159th in the nation) while surrendering 104.8 points in return (174th). They are No. 154 in the NCAA NET Rankings and No. 158 in the KenPom rankings.
