It has been a challenging year for the Wisconsin Badgers thus far. The team has struggled through some key losses from last year and injuries and has struggled to keep up in the highly competitive Big Ten. The Badgers come into this critical matchup at just 4-6 in conference play and mired in 11th place. Wisconsin has lost three straight games heading into this game, including a 61-51 home loss to Illinois on Saturday. The Badgers welcomed back Max Klesmit from a two-game absence and he delivered 12 points and eight rebounds but it wasn't enough to help a Badgers' team that shot just 33% from the floor. Chucky Hepburn led Wisconsin with 15 points, including three from beyond the arc.

Wisconsin has really struggled on the offensive end this season as the team tries to find its identity through turnover and injury. The Badgers are 13th in the Big Ten in scoring offense thus far. In addition, they are just 13th field goal percentage. Wisconsin has done a decent job from long range, ranking fifth in the Big Ten. The Badgers are are just eighth in the conference in fewest turnovers per game. Wisconsin has done a better job on the defensive end. The Badgers are fifth in scoring defense in the Big Ten and second in opponent's field goal percentage. They are, however, just 11th in the conference in 3pt defense. Lastly, Wisconsin ranks a dismal 14th in the Big Ten in rebounding.
