The 2022-23 NBA season goes on Sunday, January 29, with the New Orleans Pelicans taking on the Milwaukee Bucks in the interconference showdown at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and the tip-off is set for 8:00 PM ET.
Milwaukee opens as a firm 7.5-point home fave with a total of 235.0 points. The Bucks miss Bobby Portis (knee), while AJ Green (ankle) is questionable to play. On the other side, the Pelicans are without Zion Williamson (hamstring) and Dyson Daniels (ankle).
The New Orleans Pelicans (26-23; 24-25 ATS) will close down a back-to-back set Sunday in Wisconsin. Their Saturday night clash against the Washington Wizards at home has been excluded from the analysis, and the Pels were looking to stop a six-game slide.
New Orleans opened a three-game homestand last Tuesday, suffering a tough 99-98 defeat against the Denver Nuggets. On the very next day, the Pelicans lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves 111-102. New Orleans forced the T-Wolves into just nine turnovers while making just 43.5% of its field goals and 31.6% of its 3-pointers (12-for-38).

After missing 29 games due to a toe injury, Brandon Ingram returned to the floor last Wednesday. He made just four of his 18 shots from the field, finishing with 13 points, five assists, and five rebounds. CJ McCollum dropped 25 points on Minnesota, while Jonas Valanciunas posted a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Since Zion Williamson hit the sidelines on January 3, the Pelicans have gone 3-9 SU and 5-7 ATS. Zion has been unstoppable through 29 appearances this season, averaging 26.0 points on 60.8% shooting from the field.
