Once Upon A Time In Las Vegas – Championship Sunday

Memphis will try to extend its four-game winning streak when it travels to Tulsa on Sunday evening. The Tigers have won eight of their last 10 games, beating SMU by 15 points on Thursday. Tulsa has lost seven of its first eight conference games.

Memphis has been consistently winning games throughout the season, going 16-5 (6-2 AAC) through its first 21 games. The Tigers lost to UCF in double overtime earlier this month, but they have bounced back with a four-game winning streak. They beat Temple, Wichita State and Cincinnati in three games that were decided by 10 points or less before blowing out SMU in a 99-84 final on Thursday. Memphis head coach Penny Hardaway recorded the 100th win of his career in that game, as Kendric Davis scored 25 points and dished out 11 assists to go along with seven rebounds.

The Tigers rank inside the top 40 nationally in adjusted efficiency, shooting 53.4% from 2-point range. They have not been shooting well from the perimeter, ranked No. 236 in 3-point percentage (32.7). Memphis has done a good job of limiting turnovers and grabbing offensive rebounds, and it will be facing a Tulsa defense that is No. 264 in adjusted efficiency. The Golden Hurricane have been terrible on the defensive glass, ranked No. 327 in rebounding. Senior guard Kendric Davis leads Memphis with 21.3 points, 6.0 assists and 3.8 rebounds. Senior forward DeAndre Williams has been a key player as well, averaging 16.7 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists.
