Perhaps a change of scenery is what the Ole Miss basketball team needs at this point. The Rebels are just 1-7 in SEC play thus far and have lost eight of their last nine games overall. On Tuesday night, Ole Miss fell to Missouri 89-77 at home. Daeshun Ruffin led the Rebels with a season-best 18 points, including four 3pt field goals. Ruffin also dished out seven assists in the loss. Jaemyn Brakefield chipped in with 15 points and Tye Fagan dropped 12 points for Ole Miss. Ole Miss was done in by the shooting of Missouri. The Tigers hit on 54% of their shots overall and 53% from three-point range.

Ole Miss has been a below-average scoring team thus far this season. The Rebels are 11th in the SEC in points per game and 245th in the country. They have been terrible from long range, ranking just 320th in the county from long range. Ole Miss is also subpar in turnovers, ranking 248th in the country. Defensively, Ole Miss is ranked 91st in the country in opponent's points per game. The team is ranked a solid 81st in the nation in opponent's field goal percentage but has struggled to get out on shooters from long range. Ole Miss ranks 250th in 3pt defense. The Rebels will get after it on the glass, checking in at 56th in the country in total rebounding.

Key Injuries: There is concern that Matthew Murrell will miss Saturday's game with a knee injury. He is averaging nearly 15 points per game for the Rebels.
