The Utah State Aggies (16-5, 5-3 MWC) are on the road Saturday with a visit to Fresno, California and Save Mart Center to play the Fresno State Bulldogs (7-12, 3-5 MWC) in a Mountain West Conference game. Utah State was defeated by San Diego State 85-75 on Wednesday snapping a two-game winning streak for the Aggies. Fresno State was defeated by Boise State 63-53 on Tuesday night and the Bulldogs have lost four of the last five. Mason Falseve and Rylan Jones are out for Utah State. Joseph Hunter is out, while Isaih Moore is questionable for Fresno State.

Utah State is scoring an average of 80.3 (24th) points per game, with a field goal shooting percentage of 48.8% (17th) and a 3-point shooting percentage of 42.1% (1st). The Aggies are loaded with outside sharpshooters. However, on defense Utah State is allowing an average of 71.8 (250th) points per game while opponents are shooting 43.0% (162th) overall and 38.0% (347th) from three point land. 

 

Steven Ashworth is sharpshooter number one with a 47.3% field goal shooting percentage and 47.7% three-point shooting percentage which has resulted in a team best average of 15.3 points per game. Taylor Funk is next in line with an average of 14.6 points per game while shooting 46.3% overall and 42.5% from long range. Three other players for Utah State average double figures in scoring and each one is shooting between 45.2% a nd 62.6%. Ashworth is the leader in assists with an average of 4.6 dishes per contest. Utah State is averaging 35.4 rebounds per game led by Dan Akin with an average of 7.5 boards per contest.
