The Los Angeles Clippers and the Atlanta Hawks duke it out at the State Farm Arena on Saturday night.
The Los Angeles Clippers have been in great shape as they’ve won six of their last nine games and they will be gunning for a fifth straight victory after making light work of the Spurs in a 138-100 home win on Thursday. Paul George led the team with 35 points and seven assists on 14 of 19 shooting, Kawhi Leonard added 27 points with seven assists while Norman Powell chipped in with 15 points off the bench. As a team, the Clippers shot a healthy 58 percent from the field and 18 of 38 from the 3-point line as they dominated right from the start, pouring in 41 points in the first quarter to open the early double-digit lead, before they finished with a flurry in the fourth quarter to make it a massive blowout.
Meanwhile, the Atlanta Hawks have been in fine form as they’ve win six of their last eight games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after sneaking past the Thunder in a 137-132 road win on Wednesday. Trae Young led the team with 33 points and 11 assists, Dejounte Murray added 21 points, Bogdan Bogdanovic scored 20 points while John Collins tallied 19 points with 10 rebounds. As a team, the Hawks shot 59 percent from the field and 11 of 29 from the 3-point line as they went back and forth with the Thunder early on, before they were finally able to pull away in the third quarter.
