Miami rolls in off an 86-63 demolition of Florida State on the road Tuesday night in their previous game. Pitt slipped past Wake Forest 81-79 at home Wednesday night though they failed to cover as a 2.5-point favorite in that contest. In the all-time series between the teams, the Hurricanes own a 23-19 advantage and have won the last two meetings. That includes an 85-64 road win in the most recent matchup on February 22, 2022.

Miami dismantled Florida State on the road in their previous game to rebound from a narrow loss at Duke. The Hurricanes improved to 16-4 overall and stand tied for third in the conference with a 7-3 record entering this game. Against Florida State, Miami trailed 4-1 early in the game before reeling off 18 straight points to go up 19-4 and they were off and running from there. The Hurricanes were up 54-28 at the half and cruised the rest of the way to the win. Miami shot a sizzling 56.4% from the field, including 11 of 22 from three-point range, and controlled the boards by a 40-23 margin. Nijel Pack (five assists) and Isaiah Wong (nine rebounds) each had 18 points to lead Miami in the win.

The Hurricanes come into the game 48th in the nation in scoring offense with 78.2 points per game on the year. Miami pulls down an average of 35.3 rebounds per contest while dishing out 14.9 assists per game, which is 74th in the nation. The Hurricanes are average defensively, ranking 184th in the country by allowing 69.5 points per contest. Isaiah Wong leads the team with 16.3 points plus 4.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists per contest this season. Jordan Miller (14.9 points), Norchad Omier (13.7 points, 10.5 rebounds) and Nijel Pack (12.3 points) each are solid scoring options this season. Wooga Poplar, Bensley Joseph, Harlond Beverly, Anthony Walker and A.J. Casey are key pieces for coach Jim Larranaga’s rotation. The Hurricanes shoot 47.8% from the field as a team this season.
