We have a Conference USA NCAA Men’s Basketball game on Thursday night between the Charlotte 49ers and the Rice Owls taking place at Tudor Fieldhouse. The 49ers are 13-7 (4-5) so far and are coming off a 75-71 road win on Saturday against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. The Owls are 14-5 (5-3) up to this point and are riding a three-game winning streak after a 72-60 ad win on Thursday against the North Texas Mean Green. These teams will play again on February 25 so this should be interesting here.
The Charlotte 49ers have been doing a good job offensively this season as they are averaging 68.3 points while shooting an incredible 48.2 percent from the field. They have been passing the ball well this season with 14 assists per game so far. Junior guard Brice Williams has led the way for the 49ers as he is averaging 12.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, one assist, 0.1 blocks, 0.6 steals, and one turnover in just 22.5 minutes per game.

Their defense has been doing very well on this side of the floor as they are allowing 61.4 points per game up to this point. However, they are not forcing mistakes enough as they are averaging 2.7 blocks and 5.9 steals per game right now. If they can figure out how to score some more points, they will be in a great spot.
