Philadelphia Flyers vs. Minnesota Wild Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 1-26-2023

The Philadelphia Flyers face the Minnesota Wild with both teams looking to improve from rocky seasons. The Flyers have a 20-21-8 record and are near the bottom of the Metropolitan Division while the Wild have a 25-17-4 record and have lost three games in a row. Both teams look to improve in their divisions and the playoff picture and the upcoming game should be a good one as a result.

The Flyers are having an awful season with their offense struggling and scoring only 2.78 goals per game. Travis Konecny, Kevin Hayes, and Scott Laughton have scored 51 goals and 70 assists but the rest of the offense has struggled. Only five skaters have 10 goals or more and opponents can eliminate the hapless offense as a result.

The offense has struggled but the defense has let the Flyers down this year, allowing 3.22 goals per game including nine goals in the last two games. Travis Sanheim and Ivan Provorov have combined for 4.0 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net at will. The one bright spot has been the play of goaltender Carter Hart who has a .908 save percentage and a 2.97 goals-against average on 1080 shots.
