The Carolina Hurricanes face the Dallas Stars with both teams looking to build off of strong seasons. The Hurricanes have a 29-9-8 record and with back-to-back wins have the best record in the Metropolitan Division while the Stars have a 28-13-8 record and are in first place in the Central Division. Both teams look to remain near the top of their respective conferences and the upcoming game should be a great one as a result.

The Hurricanes are having a great season with their offense stepping up and scoring 3.22 goals per game. Martin Necas, Sebastian Aho, and Andrei Svechnikov have scored 54 goals and 64 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has also been great. Seth Jarvis, Jordan Martinhook, and Stefan Noesen have combined for 25 goals and 42 assists while Brent Burns and Brady Skjei have added 17 goals and 36 assists from the point to open up the offense.

The offense has been great but the defense has carried the Hurricanes, allowing only 2.65 goals per game with only four goals in the last two games. Brady Skjei and Brett Pesce have combined for 6.5 defensive point shares and 105 blocked shots while Brent Burns, Jaccob Slavin, and Jalen Chatfield have combined for 7.7 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit.
