The Los Angeles Kings face the Philadelphia Flyers with both teams heading in opposite directions this season. The Kings have a 26-17-6 record and are near the top of the Pacific Division while the Flyers have a 20-21-7 record and have the second-worst record in the Metropolitan Division. The Kings look to remain near the top of the Western Conference while the Flyers look to rebound in the Eastern Conference and the upcoming game looks to be a good one as a result.

The Kings are having a great season with their offense leading the way, scoring 3.16 goals per game. Kevin Fiala, Anze Kopitar, and Phillip Danault have scored 41 goals and 79 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has also been great. Viktor Arvidsson, Adrian Kempe, and Gabriel Vilardi have combined for 48 goals and 67 assists while defensemen Drew Doughty and Sean Durzi have added nine goals and 46 assists from the point to open up the offense.

The offense has been great but the defense has struggled, allowing 3.39 goals per game including 16 goals in the last four games. Drew Doughty and Michael Anderson have combined for 5.6 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net at will.
