Two Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference rivals meet on the court Sunday when the Canisius Golden Griffins (5-13, 3-6 MAAC) visit the Quinnipiac Bobcats 14-5, 5-3 MAAC), in Hamden, Connecticut at the M&T Bank Arena. Canisius was defeated by the Fairfield Stags 67-58 on Friday. The Golden Griffins have lost two of the last three. Quinnipiac defeated the Mount St Mary Mountaineers 58-51 on Friday. The Bobcats have won each of the last five. Youri Fritz is questionable on Sunday for Canisius while Frank Mitchell is out. Elijah Taylor is out for Quinnipiac.

Canisius is allowing an average of 72.9 (278th) points per game. The Golden Griffins are allowing a field goal shooting percentage of 46.5% (334th) and a three-point shooting percentage of 37.8% (348th). The Canisius offense cannot keep up with what its defense is allowing as the Golden Griffins are scoring an average of just 66.8 (246th) points per game. Canisius has a field goal shooting percentage of 40.2% (344th) and a three-point shooting percentage of 34.2% (178th).
