The Winnipeg Jets face the Philadelphia Flyers with both teams heading in opposite directions this season. The Jets have a 30-16-1 record and are in second place in the Central Division while the Flyers have a 20-20-7 record and are near the bottom of the Metropolitan Division. The Jets look to remain near the top of the Western Conference while the Flyers look to turn their season around and the upcoming game looks to be a good one as a result.

The Jets are having a great season with their offense stepping up and scoring 3.24 goals per game. Kyle Connor, Pierre-Luc Dubois, and Mark Scheifele have scored 71 goals and 77 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has also stepped up. Blake Wheeler, Cole Perfetti, and Adam Lowry have combined for 26 goals and 57 assists while defensemen Josh Morrissey and Neal Pionk have added 15 goals and 56 assists to put the offense over the top.

The offense has been great but the defense has carried the Jets, allowing only 2.65 goals per game. Josh Morrissey and Dylan DeMelo have combined for 5.9 defensive point shares and 117 blocked shots while Brenden Dillon, Neal Pionk, and Nate Schmidt have combined for 7.1 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit. In addition, goaltender Connor Hellebuyck has been great with a .923 save percentage and a 2.43 goals-against average on 1102 shots.
