Washington at Utah Prediction – Basketball Picks 1/21/23

The Washington Huskies will head down to Salt Lake CIty to meet the Utah Runnin’ Utes from the Huntsman Center on the Pac-12 Network. Utah holds a slim series lead of 12-11, but Washington won all three meetings last season.

Washington moved to 12-8 after beating Colorado in Boulder. The Huskies took the lead into the locker room, and protected it to pick up the 75-72 win. Washington is scoring 70.3 points per game, while allowing 68.8 ppg, and shooting 43.9% from the field.

Washington responded to a five-game skid with three straight wins, but they’ll face an uphill battle in Salt Lake City here. The Huskies picked up their first road win of the season last time out, but it remains to be seen how they deal with Utah. UW has a similar look of a one-man band this season, with UK transfer Keion Brooks Jr. leading the way. The 6’7 forward posted three double-doubles in a row, before going for a game-high 25 points in the win over Colorado. Brooks Jr. leads the Huskies in scoring (17.3) and rebounding (7.1). Fresno State transfer Braxton Meah scored a season-high 21 points in the win over Stanford, and he’s averaging 9.5 ppg and 7.0 rpg.
