Once Upon A Time In Las Vegas – Divisional Round

The Ole Miss Rebels (9-9, 6-10-2 ATS, 7-11 O/U) collide with the Arkansas Razorbacks (12-6, 7-10-1 ATS, 6-11 O/U) in an SEC showdown on Saturday afternoon. The Rebels earned a road win against South Carolina on Tuesday night. The Razorbacks were hit with a road loss by Missouri in their previous action. Arkansas posted a 64-55 road win against Ole Miss in the only meeting last season.

The Ole Miss Rebels enter this one with confidence. They finally ended a rough six-game losing streak with a solid 70-58 road win against South Carolina on Tuesday to improve to 1-5 in SEC play. Ole Miss has not been competitive in a majority of its conference defeats but it has been a daunting schedule as three of their SEC bouts have been against ranked foes. They have covered the spread in just two of their six conference games this season.

Matthew Murrell continues to excel. The junior guard has recorded at least 19 points in three of his last four games including 24 points against Auburn and has delivered an average of 15.6 PPG. Jaemyn Brakefield has cooled down, scoring scored double-digits in one of his last three games. The junior forward has solid numbers, posting 8.9 PPG on 51% shooting on the year. Daeshun Ruffin did not play on Tuesday due to illness and is questionable. The sophomore g uard is a key player, logging an average of 8.6 PPG.

The Rebels are ranked 89th in DI in Ken Pomeroy’s ratings and are 1-3 on the road. Ole Miss is a low-scoring team. They have netted 65 or fewer points in five out of their last seven games and are averaging 67.6 points on the year, landing them 290th. The Rebels are conceding an average of 65.3 points, good for 73rd.
