The Oakland Athletics and Texas Rangers face off on Tuesday in an MLB showdown at Globe Life Field. In the first game of this series it was the Rangers that were able to secure the 2-1 victory. The A's finished the game with only three hits.
Oakland comes into this game with a 41-75 record overall and they have lost nine games in a row. The A’s offense has been a problem most of the season and they are currently averaging 3.37 runs per game which is 29th in the league. The pitching also hasn’t been a whole lot better giving up 4.55 runs per game. Sean Murphy has hit 13 home runs and driven in 48 RBIs so far this season.
The Rangers come into this game with a 52-63 record overall but that hasn’t been good enough and on Monday they made a change at manager. The Rangers offense has been good, but the pitching has been an issue all season. The Rangers are giving up 4.5 runs per game which is 22nd in the league. Adolis Garcia is having a big season hitting 19 home runs and driving in 73 RBIs.
