The New York Knicks invade the State Farm Arena to take on the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night.
The New York Knicks have been in fine form as they’ve won seven of their last 10 games overall and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting beaten by the Wizards in a 116-105 loss on Wednesday. Jalen Brunson led the team with 32 points, RJ Barrett added 21 points while Julius Randle tallied 14 points with 15 rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Knicks shot just 41 percent from the field and seven of 26 from the 3-point line, but they allowed the Wizards to get off to a flyer and they were always trailing after allowing 35 points in the first quarter.
Meanwhile, the Atlanta Hawks have been in great shape as they’ve won six of their last eight games and they will be gunning for a fifth straight win after beating the Mavericks in a 130-122 road win on Wednesday. Dejounte Murray led the team with 30 points, seven rebounds and four assists, John Collins added 19 points while Trae Young chipped in with 18 points and 12 assists. As a team, the Hawks shot 57 percent from the field and 13 of 26 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 40 points in the first quarter to take the early lead, before they used a 16-6 run in the fourth quarter to pull away and escape with the narrow victory.
