Longtime NFC East rivals Philadelphia and New York will square off on Saturday night during the divisional round of the NFL playoffs. The Eagles clinched the No. 1 seed in the NFC with their win over the Giants in Week 18, sweeping the regular season series. New York advanced to the divisional round by beating Minnesota during Super Wild Card Weekend.
New York rested its starters when it faced Philadelphia in Week 18, as the Giants had nothing to play for in that game. They did not have to shake off any rust last week, going on the road and picking up a 31-24 win against Minnesota as 2.5-point underdogs. Quarterback Daniel Jones threw for 301 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 78 yards. He became the first player in NFL history to throw for 300 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 70 yards in a playoff game. Jones was backed up by running back Saquon Barkley, who rushed for 53 yards and two touchdowns.

Jones struggled with turnover issues early in his career, but he has only thrown one pick in his last 226 pass attempts since Nov. 20. His 78 rushing yards last week also set a franchise record for rushing yards by a quarterback in the playoffs. The Giants have failed to win consecutive games since November, but they have covered the spread in seven of their last eight games. Their win last week marked the team’s first playoff win in 11 years. They have recorded one win in their last nine division games, but they have covered the spread in four of their last five NFC East contests. Their defense was without tackle Leonard Williams and cornerback Adoree’ Jackson in the two regular season games against Philadelphia, but they are both expected to play on Saturday.
