The East Carolina Pirates hit the road and travel to Philadelphia to take on the Temple Owls on Wednesday night in AAC action. East Carolina is 10-9 on the season overall but just 1-5 in AAC play. East Carolina was 9-4 in non-conference play this season before entering AAC play. The Pirates have gone just 1-5 in the conference thus far including four straight defeats. On Sunday, East Carolina fell to South Florida at home, 81-70. The win was just the first conference win of the season for South Florida. Quentin Diboundje led the Pirates with a career-high 18 points to lead four players in double figures despite the loss. Brandon Johnson had a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds. ECU shot just 38% from the field and committed 15 turnovers in the loss.

The Pirates will attempt to end their four-game losing streak on Wednesday night and try to get back into the AAC race. ECU is ranked 192nd in scoring offense this season. They have struggled from long range, ranking just 264th in 3pt range. Additionally, ECU is ranked 188th in turnovers this season. On the defensive end, the Pirates are 153rd in scoring defense and 183rd in three-point defense. ECU has been effective on the glass, ranked 83rd in rebounding in the nation.
