The Auburn Tigers have not experienced the success they had at the beginning of last season but they are building towards it. Auburn is now ranked 16th in the country and have 14 wins, including three straight, as SEC play is well under way. On Saturday, Auburn defeated Mississippi State 69-63 to earn their 3rd straight overall and 28th straight game at home. Jaylin Williams led the way with a season-high 21 points, including five 3pt shots. Williams' five 3pt shots were part of 11 Tigers' 3pt shots in the win. Meanwhile, Auburn held Mississippi State to 0-for-18 from long range.

“Jaylin Williams, one of the best games I've ever seen him play,” Auburn coach Bruce Pearl said. “It was as hard and as physical as I've ever seen him play. If you want to give anybody credit for winning that game, give it to Jaylin Williams.”

The Tigers 3-pt outburst on Saturday was a bit out of character for them this season. Auburn is ranked just 313th in the country in 3pt field goals. They are, however, a solid 124th in points per game. Auburn can be careless with the basketball, ranking 256th in the country in turnovers. Defensively, the Tigers have been outstanding thus far. Auburn is ranked 29th in points allowed per game. Saturday's efforts against Mississippi State's 3pt shooting was not surprising considering the Tigers are 3rd in the country against the 3pt shot. Auburn has been dynamic on the glass as well, ranking 37th in rebounding.

Key Injuries: Reserve forward Chris Moore is questionable for this game.
